Relief Efforts for Haiti –

The last 24 hours we have learned just how hard the southwest part of Haiti was hit. At But God Ministries we now have boots-on-the-ground in that area, and we are prepared to help those living in desperate conditions.

Effects of Hurricane

Many of our supporters have been to Haiti and met Jacques, the Haitian contractor who builds our buildings. I spoke to Jacques yesterday and learned he has an uncle and other family members living in the devastated areas of Haiti. Last night, he traveled to his family’s village northwest of Les Cayes, and I spoke with him again this morning. He said almost every house in the village has been destroyed. His uncle is living under a tree. He said it looks much like what happened after the earthquake except even the trees are severely damaged. People are in desperate circumstances. Below are photos he sent me this morning:

How We Will Help

Jacques has the trucks, employees, and knowledge to get supplies immediately to those in need. As we do many times throughout the year, we will wire funds directly to him in Haiti and he can quickly purchase the food, water, and other needed supplies and then deliver them to those in need.

How To Give

If you, your Sunday School class, your church, or other organization wants to help, you can click HERE and give online. Be sure and type “Hurricane Relief” in the comments section. We will use funds given to purchase relief supplies such as food, water, and temporary shelter. Or, you can mail a check to But God Ministries at: 400 Fontaine Place, Suite 103, Ridgeland, MS, 39157.

Thank you for your love and concern for those who are struggling so mightily in southwest Haiti.

Sincerely,

Stan Buckley
Executive Director
