Hands and Feet
We have had two medical-dental teams in Haiti since my email last month. One team was from First Baptist Jackson, MS and the other was from Highland Baptist in Meridian, MS. The dentists from Jackson pulled 720 teeth from 365 patients and performed 72 cleanings. The group from Meridian, in addition to their work at our Hope Center, spent one day at a school north of Port-au-Prince and saw 82 school children, almost all of whom had never seen a doctor or a dentist.

Sharing the Good News
The teams shared the gospel in a variety of ways during their weeks of clinic. Hundreds of children attended VBS and dozens of ladies attended a Bible Study. Over 30 people professed faith in Christ during one of the weeks.

This is the location of the new church/school. Construction has begun and the building should be completed in a couple of months. The first official church service held by our new Haitian pastor, Pastor Daniel, took place in The Hope Center while the team from Meridian was there.

Our First Baby!!!
Tony West, our resident American nurse, had been hoping that we would be able to deliver a baby at The Hope Center. Well, Tony’s dream has become a reality. Two weeks ago a lady who was 9 months pregnant came to The Hope Center and gave birth to a beautiful little girl. The mom gave her the name Wisterline Espwa. The word Espwa is Creole for Hope. Tony went to see them a day or two after the birth and mom and baby were doing great!

A First
Our team from Jackson had three father-daughter combinations. Way to go dads! This was the first time to have this many fathers and daughters on one team. Plus, all three dads do dental work and one daughter is a pediatric dentist and another daughter enters dental school this fall.

So Many Opportunities . . .
God continues to provide more and more opportunities to share His love in Haiti. We are currently building the church/school, constructing five more houses, designing the Guest House, planning for the opening of the orphanage, interviewing for a full-time agriculture expert, and working on economic development that includes jobs, jobs, jobs! Plus so much more!!

All of this ministry, of course, takes significant resources to accomplish. If you would like to partner with us in this work and if you trust us to use your gift wisely, you can click here and give a one-time contribution or you can sign up to give automatically each month. You can also mail your gift to: But God Ministries, 1440 North State Street, Jackson, MS, 39202.

Thank you for your prayers, your trips to Haiti, and your financial support.

Can’t Wait To See What God Does Next,
