Stan is the founder and Executive Director of But God Ministries. He practiced law in Hattiesburg, MS for four years before becoming a pastor in 1995. He served as Senior Pastor in three churches over the course of 16 years until he started BGM in 2011. Stan has been married to Jewell since 1989, and they have twin sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren. He has written nine books, and a portion of the proceeds go to BGM. These books are available at booksbystan.com.

Jana Parrish graduated from Mississippi College with a BSEd and an MBA and is an active alum. She is married to Scottie and is an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison, MS. In her professional life, she has over 30 years of experience in the banking and private wealth industries.

Annette recruits mission team members and coordinates with team leaders and Community Managers to keep teams and projects aligned. She also manages the office and helps with many BGM activities. She holds a Business Administration degree with a Computer Science minor from Belhaven University and has many years of business experience. She is married to Fred and they have three children.

Jake, an Ole Miss graduate, is Managing Director of But God Ministries. He uses skills in accounting, construction finance, and operations to build lasting programs in underserved communities. He has managed multimillion-dollar budgets and improved operations across industries. His background includes real estate, personal training, and content creation, driven by entrepreneurship and a desire to help others. Committed to mental and physical wellness, he blends those values into work and life. He moved to Mississippi in 2021 and is married to Alee.

Vicki grew up in Clinton, Mississippi, and is a proud graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology and a master’s degree in School Counseling. She dedicated 25 years to serving students and families as a school counselor at Madison Station Elementary. After retiring from education, Vicki transitioned into her role at BGM, where she supports the organization through social media management and administrative assistance. She is married to her husband, Allen, and has two grown children

Jo lives in Flora, MS with her husband Ron. They have five children, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She holds a Business Administration degree from Belhaven University and has over 45 years in business management and accounting. Since 2015 she has been BGM’s Child Sponsorship Coordinator.

Amber spent much of her childhood in Jonestown and recently returned there to live and work with BGM, hosting visiting mission teams at our Hope Center and working with local residents to identify projects within the community. Amber holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Mississippi College and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Jackson State University. She brings a diverse background in process and project management to the BGM team.

Not only is Linda a lifelong resident of Jonestown, MS, one of eight siblings, and a mom of three, but she has over 30 years of experience in community services. Before coming on staff with us, she spent a decade serving elementary school age kids in the community through an after-school program, which she started. As our Life Center Coordinator, Linda manages the daily running of that facility, promotes community events, and schedules all social services appointments such as dental, medical or legal.

Pastor Mathurin is a life-long resident of Thoman, Haiti. He gives leadership to all of our activities in Thoman including: hosting teams, coordinating construction of houses, overseeing three schools, working with our medical clinic at the Hope Center and our Mobile Medical Unit, providing food distributions, and giving overall direction to our work in Thoman. He is a pastor, a husband, and the father of seven children.

Bennie is a lifelong resident of Jonestown and comes to BGM with a wealth of experience and relationships. He holds a BA in Political Science from Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA. He is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and currently serves as President of the Swan Lake Missionary Baptist Association, Trustee of the Coahoma Community College Board of Trustees, and Pastor of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Jonestown.

Robert is a native of Champaign, IL. He relocated to Nesbit, MS at a young age. He graduated from Desoto Central High School, Northwest Community College and the University of Mississippi. He enjoys reading God’s Word, spending time with family and traveling to spread the Gospel. He is serving as the Director of Spiritual Development in Jonestown, MS. He is excited about making connections with community members and serving them.

Dina grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas, and graduated from Baylor University. She’s worked across the country for several Fortune 500 plastics companies and a national nonprofit. A world traveler, she’s excited to serve focused on Haiti and Mississippi. At BGM she oversees fundraising, individual giving, and foundation grants. She moved to Mississippi in 2000 and is married to Ken; they have three adult sons.

Tony and Mickie West moved to Haiti in August of 2012 to run our medical/dental clinic on a full-time basis. They were forced to leave Haiti in October of 2019 due to increased gang violence. While living in Haiti, Tony served as a Nurse Practitioner with a degree from Samford University and was the Chief Administrator at the Hope Center in Galette Chambon. Tony passed away in April of 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mickie spent many years as a high school English teacher and was an adjunct professor at Mississippi College. She runs our Child Sponsorship program and communicates daily with our Hope Center staff to help them with the supplies and support they need to keep all aspects of ministry operational in Galette Chambon. Tony and Mickie have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.

Billy holds a BS degree in Recreation Administration and a Master’s degree in Secondary Education/Athletic Supervision. Both degrees were earned from Alcorn State University. Billy began his career in sports at Coahoma Community College where he served as an assistant football and baseball coach. He went on to be hired as the head baseball coach at Coahoma Community College from 2002-2006. Billy also served as the MS Deputy Director of the Fatherhood & Crime Program with Youth Opportunities Unlimited, Inc. In 2014, Billy became the Quitman County School District’s Athletic Director and head football coach.
