FEDNAICHA is a bright and cheerful three-year-old who attends BGM Preschool in the K1 program. She lives with her loving parents and her older sister in a small farming community. Every morning, her parents rise before dawn to work long days in the garden as sharecroppers, doing all they can to provide for their family.

Because both parents work all day, Fednaicha and her sister stay with friends in the mornings and walk to school together. Her sister is already enrolled in school, and though her parents manage to pay her tuition, it is very difficult for them to afford tuition for both children at once. Sponsorship support would allow Fednaicha to continue attending preschool regularly, making it easier for her parents to work and ensuring she has the early education opportunities she deserves.

Fednaicha is a joyful little girl who loves to play with her friends, sing, and go to church with her family. Her beautiful smile lights up every room, and she’s always eager to learn new things. When she grows up, she dreams of becoming a nurse, so she can help care for others.

By sponsoring Fednaicha, you’ll help open the door to a brighter future—one where she can learn, grow, and take her first steps toward reaching her dreams.

KERWENS is a bright and hardworking 16-year-old student in the seventh grade at BGM High School. He lives with his parents, who work tirelessly as local vendors. They maintain a small garden, growing produce to sell at the market. However, in recent months, life has become increasingly difficult for the family. The roads to market have grown dangerous, and rising prices have forced many families to spend less, making it harder for Kerwens’ parents to earn enough income.

Adding to their challenges, Kerwens’ family has faced unexpected medical expenses after his grandfather required several hospital visits. The combined financial strain has made it very difficult for them to continue paying for Kerwens’ school tuition. Despite these hardships, his parents are deeply committed to keeping him in school and are praying for a sponsor who can help make this possible.

Kerwens is a friendly and determined young man who enjoys playing soccer with his friends after school. His favorite subject is Spanish, and he dreams of becoming a mechanic one day. He says he often notices how many cars travel the roads near his home—and he wants to be the person who keeps them running smoothly.

A sponsorship would allow Kerwens to continue his education and move one step closer to achieving his dream. Your support could make a lasting difference in his life and help his family find hope in a challenging time.

  • Thank you for your interest in sponsoring a child with But God Ministries. There are literally hundreds of children in our village who would like to go to school but cannot afford it. If you don’t see any listed, it’s simply because we haven’t finished the process of uploading more yet. We are working on getting the next list ready so we can get them posted. Thank you all so very much for your interest and your answer to the call to sponsor a child in our village. If there are no more Galette Chambon children left, and you want to sponsor a child from Thoman, please check again over the next few days for new names to be posted or check back next week for pictures to be posted with names.

    Thank you!

    ….and God Bless You!!

Guwen is an energetic four-year-old living in the rural village of Galette Chambon. He is part of a household that deeply values faith and hard work. His mother serves the community as a kindergarten teacher, and his father works as a farmer, tending to the land to provide for their family. Despite having two working parents, the family struggles to make ends meet. While Gwen’s mother is dedicated to educating the local children, her modest teacher’s salary is low. The father faces even greater hurdles: farms in their region make very little profit, and market conditions have been dire due to recent gang activity. The escalating danger on the roads makes it perilous and often impossible for farmers to transport their goods safely to market to sell their harvest. This constant instability has made their income unpredictable and unreliable, creating immense financial stress as they try to afford basic necessities and school fees for three children.

Gwen is a cheerful boy who finds joy in simple pleasures. He loves to play with his friends, sing hymns, and attend church with his family. He has big dreams for his future rooted deeply in his faith. When he grows up, Gwen wants to become a pastor and study theology. He also has a specific goal to learn how to speak French, which is a primary language of education and governance in Haiti.

For a child like Gwen, an education is the essential first step toward achieving his calling. Your sponsorship will ensure Gwen can begin preschool and get the early childhood education he needs, setting him on a path to attend secondary school and maybe even university later. By sponsoring Gwen, you are investing in his passion, his faith, and his future. You are helping him walk a safe path from a vulnerable four-year-old in Galette Chambon to the dedicated pastor he is called to be.
