Big Year Ahead…

We are very excited about 2018. Below are just a few of the things we have planned for this year as we continue to share the love of Jesus Christ through building sustainable communities:

  • 66 trips to Haiti already on the books
  • 20 trips to the Miss. Delta already on the books
  • New water system in Thoman, Haiti
  • New Pastor Training in Thoman, Haiti
  • New Surgical Center in Galette Chambon, Haiti
  • New Pastor Training in Galette Chambon, Haiti
  • Numerous houses built in Thoman and Galette Chambon
  • More children served and saved at Malnutrition Center
  • Continued love and support at the orphanage
  • Construction of houses in Jonestown, MS
  • Opening of dental clinic in Jonestown, MS
  • Opening of medical clinic in Jonestown, MS
  • Opening of legal clinic in Jonestown, MS
  • Final acquisition of Montessori in Jonestown, MS

God is moving in exciting ways through BGM and we can’t wait to see how He uses us to touch the lives of many of His children.

This is little Claudelson. He loves to hang out at the Hope Center in Thoman with Laura. He wanted to help prepare the Hope Center before the first team arrived a week ago. This is his face when Laura told him that in addition to getting paid he was also getting cookies!

Meet Hans Loveson Dessoit. He is the first-born child of our translator, Kenterson, and Kenterson’s wife, Lovemaille.

First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, along with several others, helped Kenterson and his family build a new house last week. This house is larger than our normal houses. However, Kenterson had saved his money and contributed greatly to the cost of construction.

Y’all Come!

We are having the Grand Opening for the new Hope Center in the Mississippi Delta on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome! Come see what God has done through His people who have worked so hard to make this dream become a reality. We’ll have the Dedication of the facility and then an Open House with refreshments. The address is 412 Coldwater River Road in Jonestown, MS. Come celebrate with us!

New Missionary in Thoman

I have great news! Abby Winstead will be joining the BGM team as a full-time missionary in Thoman beginning in June of this year.

Abby is from Madison, MS, graduated with her undergraduate degree from Miss. State in 2016, and will graduate from the University of North Texas in May with a Master’s in Public Health.

Abby will be focusing on public health, specifically the Outpatient Malnutrition Program in Thoman (along with our translator Kenterson who is doing a great job) and working with women in regard to health and child bearing. She will also assist with teams during the busy summer months.

Laura Rader, our current missionary in Thoman, is very excited about Abby joining her. She and Abby have worked extremely well together over the last couple of years when Abby has served as an intern in Haiti. Abby will live in the other half of the missionary house with her own bedroom and bathroom.

I am thrilled about Abby becoming part of BGM. Her personality, experience in Haiti, spiritual depth, education, and training make her a perfect fit for what she will be doing. Plus, it is evident God has led her directly to this point in her life and the life of BGM. Welcome aboard, Abby!

Like all of our missionaries in Haiti, Abby is raising her own support. I’m sure she would appreciate monthly support or a one-time gift. My wife and I have already contributed to her support and plan to do so in the future. If you would like to help Abby, you can give online by clicking HERE. Give to the General Budget but be sure and type “Winstead Support” in the Other Comments line. Or, you can mail a check to: But God Ministries, 400 Fontaine Place, Suite 103, Ridgeland, MS, 39157.

Finally…

As you can see, God is using But God Ministries in marvelous ways. Also, as you are aware, it takes a great deal of resources to do what God has called us to do. Would you please consider financially supporting BGM and our work in Haiti? Your gift will go a long way in helping us share the love of Christ in very tangible ways in that poverty-stricken nation.

You can give online HERE or send a check to: But God Ministries, 400 Fontaine Place, Suite 103, Ridgeland, MS, 39157.

In addition, I ask for your prayers for wisdom and energy for our Haitian staff, our American staff in Haiti, our staff in the States, and our Board of Directors.

Can’t Wait To See What God Does Next,

Stan Buckley
Executive Director
